In the dusty lanes of our villages and the cramped rooms of urban chawls, live thousands of elderly citizens who gave their entire lives to building this country — as farmers, daily laborers, domestic workers, and parents. Now, in their old age, many of them rely on one small hope every month: their senior citizen pension. A few hundred rupees may seem small to others, but for them, it’s food, medicine, and respect.
But for months — sometimes years — this pension has not arrived. Delayed, denied, or stopped without reason.
And R. R. Pandayan Saheb refuses to stay quiet.
